Your Personal Data:

What we need

Eleanor Henderson will be what is known as the ‘Controller’ of the personal data you provide to us. We only collect basic personal data about you which does not include any special types of information or location based information. This does however include name, address, email etc.

Why we need it

We need to know your basic personal data in order to provide you with notice writing and analysis services in line with this overall contract. We will not collect any personal data from you we do not need in order to provide and oversee this service to you.

What we do with it

All the personal data we process is processed by Eleanor Henderson. No 3rd parties have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so.

We have a Data Protection regime in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your personal data.

How long we keep it

We are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed. Your information we use for marketing purposes will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.

What we would also like to do with it

We would however like to use your name and email address to request feedback about your treatment as well as to inform you of our future offers and similar products. This information is not shared with third purposes and you can unsubscribe at any time via phone, email or our website. Please indicate below if this is something you would like to sign up to.

What are your rights?

If at any point you believe the information we process on you is incorrect you request to see this information and even have it corrected or deleted. If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you can contact our Data Protection Officer who will investigate the matter.

If you are not satisfied with our response or believe we are processing your personal data not in accordance with the law you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Eleanor Henderson of Acupuncture South East agrees that every effort will be made to provide high quality services and that she will at all times behave in a manner that is applicable to the occasion.

1. Payment

 Payment is required in the form of Card, Cash, Cheque or BACs.

2. Cancellation policy 

 If your scheduling conflict is known in advance and we are notified at least 24 hours ahead of time, it may be possible to reschedule. However, this cannot be guaranteed. 

£30 will be forfeited if any appointments are cancelled with less than 24 hours notification.

The full amount will be charged if you miss your appointment without cancellation.

If no card/account information is present, no further sessions will be conducted until the outstanding payment is received.

Weekends and Bank Holidays - Cancellations falling within 48 hours prior to your appointment on a weekend or a bank holiday will result in the £30 being forfeited.

3. Rescheduling

 We will endeavour to reschedule appointments for our clients with less than 24 hours notice, but if we are unable to do so, the full fee will be incurred.

Acupuncture South East will endeavour to give clients as much notice as possible should appointments need to be rescheduled due to illness.

4. Therapist’s holidays

We will notify our clients at least 7 days in advance of any planned holidays and scheduled breaks.

5. Appointments

All purchased block appointments must be used within 6 months; failing to do so will result in expiration of the purchased treatments.

Acupuncture South East may at any time without notifying you make any changes to the Services which are necessary to comply with any applicable safety or other legal requirements, or which do not materially affect the nature or quality of the Services.

6. Late for appointments 

 Appointments will begin promptly. If you are late for your appointment the session will conclude at the original time - no time will be added on at the end. Should you be more than 15 minutes late, the therapist has the right to end the session and the session will be forfeited. Should the therapist be late for a scheduled appointment the appointment will continue for the appropriate duration.  



All clients will be required to sign a disclaimer consenting to the terms and conditions outlined by Acupuncture South East.  

You must provide Acupuncture South East with specific information about your health that is required before you begin the treatment.

Acupuncture South East reserves the right to refuse to provide any or all of the Services on any occasion, without incurring liability to you.
